Jay DukeAssistant Coach Women's BasketballDepartment: Athletics Email: jaymes.duke@twu.ca Jay Duke returned to the Trinity Western women’s basketball team at the start of the 2011-12 season to work as an assistant with head coach Cheryl Jean-Paul.
Duke, who worked with the Spartans women’s basketball team as a volunteer assistant from 2006 to 2008, alongside head coach Danielle Gardner first, in 2006-07, and then Kerby Court, came back to the Langley campus this past fall after three years as Columbia Bible College’s women’s basketball head coach.
While at CBC, during the off-season, Duke also coached with PGC Basketball and was the director with NBC British Columbia Basketball Camps in Abbotsford, B.C.
Prior to his stint at CBC, while volunteering with Trinity Western, Duke started working as a coach, with former Spartans men’s basketball guard Tyler Coston, at HoopStar Basketball, where he is still maintains a coaching role.
Duke played his high school basketball in Sherwood Park, Alta. at Archbishop Jordan High School where he helped his school to two zone championships, in 2000 and 2001, and a fourth place finish at the provincial championship in 2001.
From 2001 to 2005, Duke played for The King’s University College in Edmonton out of the ACAC.
Throughout his playing career, he worked with the University of Alberta Summer Camps, the Edmonton Grads Basketball Club and NBC Camps.
