The Spartans enter the weekend on a high after a weekend split with No. 7 University of Victoria. The Dinos come into this weekend’s game suffering a pair of losses at the hands of the Saskatchewan Huskies. The Pronghorns enter the weekend at 4-4 after a weekend sweep of the University of Manitoba Bisons. The Spartans are trying to close in on the final Pacific Division playoff spot, the Dinos are trying to keep a hold of the final spots in the Prairie Division, while the Pronghorns are looking to close in on one of the final playoff spots in the Prairie Division. |
![]() | IMPORTANT EARLY SEASON MATCH-UP AS SPARTANS AND VIKES OPEN HOME SEASON AT LANGLEY EVENTS CENTRE Women's Basketball - date: Nov. 19th, 2009 LANGLEY, British Columbia – The Trinity Western University Spartans will play host to the Victoria Vikes in a pair of games this weekend, with Friday’s tip-off at 6 p.m. and Saturday’s at 5 p.m. Last week the Spartans split the weekend with their first win of the year at Brandon (73-45) and followed up with a loss at Regina (66-37). The Vikes also split last weekend’s games as well opening with a loss to Alberta (65-75) before picking up their first win in Canada West hosting Saskatchewan (58-52). Both teams are 1-2 on the season coming into this weekend’s home stand. |
