![]() | 2007 Women's Soccer Year in Review Women's Soccer - date: May 7th, 2008 The Trinity Western University Spartans women’s soccer team finished 10th in the final 2007 CIS national poll, as they lost to the eventual Canada West Champion UBC Thunderbirds in the conference semi-finals. TWU finished fourth in the Canada West regular season standings with an overall record of 10-4-2, and was ranked as high as fourth nationally during the season, holding that spot for four of the first five weeks of the season. |

The team is currently 1-1 in pool play and will need a solid win over China Saturday if they are to advance to the quarter finals. Canada defeated South Africa 3-1 in the opener and lost 2-0 to Great Britain in their second match. Carlee, who led Canada West in goal scoring last season, got off to an amazing start scoring twice and adding an assist in the victory over South Africa.
