SPARTANS HOST VIKINGS IN SCRIMMAGE FRIENDLY

LANGLEY, British Columbia
– the Trinity Western University women’s soccer team fell 3-0 to the visiting NCAA Div. II Western Washington University Vikings on a beautiful summer evening Tuesday in Langley, B.C.

The Spartans coach Graham Roxburgh used his entire bench as he got a good look at his young team against quality competition.

TWU matched WWU 0-0 in the first half, but were a few defensive miscues in the second half gave the Vikings the 3-0 win.

The Spartans have a training day tomorrow and then on Thursday they will take on Seattle Pacific University at 12 p.m. at TWU.

The women will follow up the Seattle Pacific University match with Simon Fraser University on Saturday at 2 p.m. before heading on the road to California for a three match swing against Hope International on Aug. 24, Westmont College on Aug. 27 and University of the Redlands on Aug. 30.
