LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western women’s volleyball coach Ryan Hofer added four key recruits for the 2014 season as he officially announced the signing of Elly Wendel (Caronport, Sask.), Micaylee Pucilowski (Kelowna, B.C.), Kristin Anton (Prince George, B.C.) and Alison Quiring (Brandon, Man.) Tuesday.
CARPENTIER NAMED CIS FIRST TEAM ALL-CANADIAN

REGINA – Trinity Western second-year outside hitter Sophie Carpentier (Ottawa) was named a CIS First Team All-Canadian as she was honoured Thursday at the CIS All-Canadian Reception at the Regina Casino Show Lounge.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – For the second year in a row, the Trinity Western women’s volleyball team will open the CIS national championship against Dalhousie as the Canada West bronze medal-winning Spartans enter the tournament seeded at No. 3 and will face the AUS champion and No. 6 seeded Tigers in Friday’s opening match at 1 p.m.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – After a breakout season in her second year, Trinity Western women’s volleyball outside hitter Sophie Carpentier (Ottawa) was named a Canada West First Team All-Star while fourth-year middle Alicia Perrin (Creston, B.C.) was named a Second Team All-Star and first-year setter Nikki Cornwall (Coquitlam, B.C.) was selected for the All-Rookie Team.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – The No. 3 Trinity Western women’s volleyball team will open the Canada West playoffs Thursday on home court as the Spartans host Regina in a best-of-three Canada West quarter-final series Feb. 13, 14 and, if necessary, 15 at the Langley Events Centre.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Following a home weekend in which the No. 5 Trinity Western women’s volleyball won both of its matches in three sets over Mount Royal, the Spartans are right back at the Langley Events Centre this weekend when they take on No. 4 UBC Okanagan Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m.
