The Spartans booked a spot in the consolation final of the 2006 Canadian Interuniversity Sport women’s volleyball championship with a 3-0 win (25-21, 25-18, 25-16) over the Huskies. |
 | Mar 2 Spartans Fall to Dinos Women's Volleyball - date: Mar. 2nd, 2006 CALGARY – The Trinity Western University women’s volleyball team opened their first ever CIS championship with a 3-0 loss to the Championship host, University of Calgary, Thursday night in Calgary. The pressure of their first experience on a championship court showed in the first set as the Spartans struggled early and fell 25-17. TWU regrouped and took control of the second set and led 12-3 early in the set, but the Dinos rallied from the deficit to take the critical set 26-24. The loss took the wind out of the Spartans as the Dinos used the energy from the home crowd and the momentum of the second set victory to sweep the Spartans with a 25-16 third set win. |

She was previously honoured in 2002-03.  | Feb 17 UPSET IN FIVE SETS BY THE COUGARS Women's Volleyball - date: Feb. 17th, 2006 LANGLEY, British Columbia – It was a heartbreaking loss for the Trinity Western University women’s volleyball team Friday night at TWU. The Spartans fell in five sets, 3-2 (25-22, 15-25, 20-25, 25-21, 16-14) to the University of Regina in the Canada West Quarter Final match. At stake this weekend was the top spot in Canada West. The Spartans battled the Thunderbirds throughout the match. TWU had a solid night blocking, but the UBC offense and their ability to dig the ball proved to be the difference as the Thunderbirds took the match 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 25-17). The loss ends the Spartans ten match winning streak and drops the Spartans to 14-3, while the win improves the Thunderbirds to 16-1. |

Three Huskies tallied double figure kills including senior Brie Hagerty (Defiance, Ohio) who had 11 kills on 16 swings with just one error for a team-best .625 hitting percentage. Senior Sanja Tomasevic (Uzice, Serbia and Montenegro) had 12 kills for UW, while sophomore Christal Morrison (Puyallup) had 10 kills and fell just shy of a double-double with nine digs. |
