Working on the design team, I have had to communicate with both artists and engineers.  Since I am a communications major I find the differences of interacting with artists and interacting with engineers fascinating.  When I described a required art asset to the art team I can see their eyes light up with the excitement for creation.  When I describe a function that needs to be programmed to an engineer, they generally stare blankly and thoughtfully at me for a couple seconds (which is mildly unnerving) and then respond with something like "I will have to experiment with that," or a slow contemplative "Ye-e-e-ah..." It is much easier to have confidence that the artists will complete their tasks because they seem to have a bit more energy.
