just one more?

I wrote a paper on a Christian view of and response to poverty. I seem to come up against this issue a lot as I live with someone (my brother) who is often in the presence of the destitute. It reminds me of the last scene of "Schindler's list" where the main character is struck by the realization that he could have saved more Jews from being murdered if he had only parted with his car or even his gold pen. The principle of "just one more" is convicting at the very least and leads to a question which all Christians can ask of themselves and their families: What can I do without that will give life to another? We can only answer this question for ourselves by the leading of the Holy Spirit, in the presence of the risen Christ, and driven by the love of the Father.  I know that it compels me to be more generous...
