Biography
Ron has taught acting at TWU since 1988 and was the Artist in Residence from 2006 to 2010. He is the founder and Artistic Director of Pacific Theatre where he has performed in such productions as A Christmas Carol, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Mourning Dove, A Man for All Seasons, Shadowlands, God's Man in Texas, Damien, and Macbeth. In 2011 he was honoured to receive on behalf of Pacific Theatre the Jessie Richardson Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award for Curation and Execution of an Outstanding Season of Theatre. A published and award-winning playwright, 15 of his plays and musicals have been produced in Vancouver and across North America. In 2010 Ron played John the Baptist / Judas in a co-production by Pacific Theatre and TWU of Godspell alongside eight TWU alumni and students, and he has directed other TWU co-productions and emerging artist showcases such as You Can't Take It With You, You Still Can't, A Bright Particular Star, and Remnant. Ron received his MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts and his Diploma in Christian Studies from Regent College.
