OpenID
OpenID is a new system that reduces the number of usernames and passwords you need to remember. Right now, it works on most TWU Websites (via TWU Pass) and it works on some 10,000 websites elsewhere on the web. You can learn more on the OpenID website.
OpenID and TWU Pass
TWU Pass supports OpenID in two ways, depending on where you want to sign in:
- If you already have an OpenID account (such as a Yahoo mail account) and want to use it, you can sign in to TWU Pass with that account. Just click the OpenID tab on the TWU Pass sign in page and enter your OpenID.
- If you don't have an OpenID account, you can use your TWU Pass account as an OpenID by typing "pass.twu.ca/user/____" on other websites, where ___ is your TWU Pass username. (You can also type "twu.ca" on sites that support OpenID 2.0).
Technical details
We support OpenID 1.x and 2.0, which means you can use our systems with virtually any other OpenID-enabled website.
