Phone Guide for Administration

Services for Staff & Faculty

Telecom Services provides phone service for all staff and faculty offices. Each office is equipped with a basic phone set and line that is activated for local calling.  All changes or upgrades to the basic service must be requested via the helpdesk and any costs will be charged to the department requesting such change.

All University departments are responsible for the costs related to the telephone service in their own department, including long distance charges, toll charges, and connection charges where applicable.

Where possible, Voice Over IP (VOIP) phones will be deployed in areas that have the required infrastructure in place.  As of August 2009 the following buildings are able to support VOIP: Reimer Student Centre, Mattson Centre, Fosmark Centre, RNT, Music Centre and selected areas of the Neufelt Science Centre and NorthWest Building.

The Telecommunications Policy applies to all members of the Trinity Western University community who use or access our telecommunication resources accessed from or to a university location.

Please use our Helpdesk to request assistance should you require service, moves, changes or encounter any difficulty with your phone service.

The Campus Telephone Directory is updated automatically at the end of each weekday. Campus Directories are not provided as the directory can be viewed or printed from our internal website.  All queries related to the Directory should be directed to Telecom Services (local 2111).

Guides and Manuals are available to staff / faculty on the internal website

Long Distance Calls can only be made by using a long distance calling code issued by Telecom Services.  Application for a code can be made via our helpdesk page
