We envision Trinity Western University as a Priority, attracting the fi nest students, faculty and staff; engaging visionary, compassionate investors and partners who enable mission fulfillment; and raising the profile and prominence of the University on a local, provincial, national and global level that characterizes TWU as among the fi nest in the world, known for excellence and unparalleled, higher education.
Therefore, the University will:
- BUILD ENROLMENT
- Grow enrolment by 50% in the next ten years to 6000 students
- Diversify enrolment to attract unserved groups through expanded and adaptive programs: graduate programs, seminaries, global and adult markets, and branch campuses
- Create a diverse mix of learners while maintaining our ability to personally engage and serve each student
- Rank in the top five for enrolment at CCCU schools (Council For Christian Colleges and Universities)
- STRENGTHEN REPUTATION AND RELATIONSHIPS
- Give priority to strengthening and expanding primary stakeholder relationships: alumni, government and institutions, business and corporate partners, churches
- Consult supporters in advance regarding proposed University property development
- Develop and execute a system for Alumni to initiate improvement and sustainability of the Calvin Hansen Chapel facility
- Establish an Alumni House on campus and programs that build connectivity of students with alumni
- Cultivate innovative opportunities to engage communities, such as the Spirit of Christmas event
- Strengthen government relations - collaborate with local governments in the development of the university district area, a new gateway, and the University’s Salt Spring property
- Support and contribute to the province’s Vision 2020 objectives in advanced education
- Actively seek Provincial Government funding for program development and facility support
- Pursue a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy grounded in brand policy, including; undergraduate, graduate, adult education and serving recruitment, church, parent and alumni relations, media and communications, development and government relations
- IMPROVE TUITION AFFORDABILITY AND BUILD ENDOWMENT
- Develop economic model to grow endowments and financial aid options to improve affordability of and accessibility to TWU education
- Establish a TWU Alumni Legacy Fund to engage pre-TWU youth and provide support for tuition
- Fully fund new facilities by donations, including adequate endowment to ensure sustaining quality
- Manage endowments aggressively, allowing the savings to accrue to the corpus of investment while providing adequate funding for designated purposes
- Develop additional academic program Chairs
- DEVELOP FOCUSED OPPORTUNITIES FOR CONSTITUENTS TO SUPPORT THE UNIVERSITY
- Grow annual fund through President’s Circle, Partners and members of Alumni and church constituencies
- Launch a Golden Anniversary integrated capital campaign to run 2009 to 2012 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the University
- Significantly increase the number of people and the financial commitments to the legacy estate program
- Provide opportunity for significant investment as part of the development strategy for revenue generating facilities, such as campus housing
- Create opportunities for constituents to enhance University landscape and facilities through provision of art elements
