Canadian Institute of Child Health

CICH is the only national charitable organization dedicated solely to improving the health of children and youth in Canada. The Institute has had a profound impact on the policies and practices of caring for our children through its three core areas of focus: monitoring our children's health; educating professionals, caregivers and policy-makers and advocating for legislation and policies that improve child health.

Career Education Society

The CES Career Education Society is a BC based, non-profit organization of people in education, business, industry, labour, government and private organizations who work together to champion career and learning management as an essential life skill.

Centre for Families, Work & Well-Being

Fifty Canadian non-profit organizations have come together under the banner of Child & Family Canada to provide quality, credible resources on children and families on an easy-to-navigate website.  The managing partner of the consortium is the Canadian Child Care Federation.

Healthy Teeth

Healthy Teeth is an oral education database built upon the science of oral health and designed for elementary grades 3 - 6. It features animated graphics, easy-to-understand text, simple classroom experiments and much more. Produced by dentists for elementary aged kids, the Canadian Dental Association, Nova Scotia Dental Association and the Halifax County Dental Society form the site's primary sponsors.

Investor Education : Get Smarter About Money

IEF develops and promotes unbiased, independent financial information, programs and tools to help consumers make better financial and investing decisions. In the Education Programs link teachers can find resources to build effective financial literacy programs and students can find videos, learning tools and resources to plan for their financial future.

KidsHealth in the Classroom

KidsHealth in the Classroom offers educators free health curriculum materials for all grades and subject areas. Each Teacher's Guide includes discussion questions, activities, and reproducible handouts and quizzes – all aligned to national health education standards

PE Central

The goal of PE Central is to provide the latest information about developmentally appropriate physical education programs for children and youth. To combat the high obesity rate, programs like Log It and Get Active Stay Active are offered, where students can log their physical activity and pedometer steps. The focus of this web site, created through the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, is to help kids understand how technology affects their privacy, and what they can do to build secure online profiles while keeping their information safe. This page is also to help parents and educators understand how many kids behave online - and will illustrate how important it is for them use this site as a reference point.
