TWU Proxy Server Information
To make use of the Library index and database resources from off campus you are required to login using your staff/faculty email user ID or student email user ID and password in order to be able to continue. An email user ID is the portion of your email address to the left of the "@twu.ca" or "@mytwu.ca" in your email address. Do not include the "@" symbol or anything to the right of the "@"
The Alloway Library licences many databases for the exclusive use of our current students, faculty & staff. The vendors of these products require that every user must be authenticated before access is permitted. Note that the licencing agreements do not permit Alumni to access databases from off campus.
When you choose an index or database from:
http://www.twu.ca/library/perindex.html (by title or subject area) and click on "Click here to begin searching ... [name of index or database]" a dialogue box will come up; choose the appropriate entry from the "Domain:" drop down list and enter your user ID and password on the appropriate lines and you will then be connected to the selected database. This will only be required once unless you exit your web browser and re-connect. |
