Reuben Moes brings yarn and needle action to the West Coast Collegium

Reuben Moes (bottom right) started knitting during his Collegium Assistant (CA) shift last year “as a tool to interact with people.” His informal knitting hour grew into “Sit & Knit.” Now every Monday from 4:30 -7 pm, about 10 students gather in the West Coast Collegium to make needles and yarn fly. Kelly Duncan trades her climbing gear for a hammer and nails

When Kelly Duncan transferred to TWU from Ontario, she wanted to get involved in more than just academics. So this fall, as part of the Outdoor Club, she’ll do just that – use her rock climbing muscles to build a house for a family in need and to hike the Grand Canyon. Full story

About 350 first year students and their connections group leaders gave their morning to participate in various community work projects around Langley as part of TWU’s 12th annual Fall Work Day held Saturday, Oct. 17. The students volunteered their time to serve the local community. Full story
