Mary Ellen Kuehl

Associate Director of Career Development(kuehl@twu.ca)

Coaching, advising and empowering students and alumni through the various aspects of practically seeking and living out their life calling is greatly satisfying. I have the privilege of working with clients to create effective resumes and cover letters, practice their interviewing skills, and assist with the creation of a personalized job search plan.  Having worked in the Career Development field for over 20 years, I find it rewarding to learn how clients are practically living out their life calling.

Enjoyable activities include networking on Linkedin and Facebook, traveling, drinking fantastic coffee, and hanging out with family (which includes three wonderful grandchildren).

Michael Teeter, M.A.

Coordinator of the Career Experience Office (michael.teeter@twu.ca)

It is a privilege to come alongside students as they search out practical means to gain experience. With opportunities ranging from co-ops and internships to volunteering, student leadership and employment, students can find meaningful experiences to help them on their career journey.

Enjoyable lifetime activities include: coaching/playing soccer, traveling, watching basketball, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, and spending time with my wife and son.

Lois Penner

Lois Penner

Campus Student Employment Coordinator (lpenner@twu.ca)

Daily I engage in dialogue with staff and faculty developing on campus employment for students.  My passion for students increases as I spend time interviewing and completing their hiring procedures  while developing meaningful relations along the way.  Empowering students with increased confidence and employment skills that will help them to succeed in the marketplace makes my position rewarding.

This year I have gone back to a favourite activity, cycling.  Traveling and power walking are other meaningful past times for me.  But the very best family times are extended weekends in Whistler with our children and grandchildren!
