Students who live off-campus are encouraged to become involved in the University community. All student programs and services at Trinity Western are available to commuting students.
The Marlie Snider Collegia Program provides a warm invitation to belong in community for commuters at TWU. Collegiums are a home away from home for commuter students. Here you, as a commuter, will find all the comforts of home (great atmosphere, comfy couches, microwaves, computers, fireplace, coffee and a lot more), a relaxing refuge before, between and after classes and a great place to connect with other students, staff and faculty. Collegia Program Assistants (CAs) support commuter students in their transition to and development at Trinity Western. These intentional communities come fully equipped with kitchens, lounge areas and space for eating, studying and accessing reference materials. CAs also help organize events in the collegium throughout the year. Hours of operation are 7a.m. to 7p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. The Collegia Program facilities are closed on all major holidays and during Independent Student Week. For Collegia Program membership, see the Student Life office for a Collegia Program enrollment card or grab one on line. A modest fee of $45 per semester helps carry a portion of the cost to operate these facilities.
Other special services and facilities for commuter students include:
