Graduate Collegium

The Graduate Collegium, intentionally designed to meet both the physical and social needs of the commuting graduate student, allows the grad student to connect with program directors, faculty, and peers among the elements of home and office. Four individual study rooms equipped with computers can be reserved to assist the student towards academic success.

 


 

The Graduate Collegium Program:

  •  Supports the academic endeavor through assisting grad students during initial transition and in the development of professional and relational cohorts. 
  •  Enriches the total experience of grad students by offering an invitation to network with faculty, peers and staff from a variety of grad programs and cultures in a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment.
  •  Enables focused study with easy access to wireless, laptop ports, fully equipped (pc, phone) study rooms that can be reserved, and other amenities including a fully stocked kitchen.
  •  Is hosted by Graduate Collegium Assistants (GAs) who are welcoming, resourceful and serve to offer programming which contributes to a sense of belonging, balance and total wellness for grad students.  GAs are grad students receive a learning grant
  •  Gives leadership in community building initiatives by presenting The Marlie Snider Collegia Program at ASPA, ACSD, CACSD, NODA and BC Orientation Directors Conferences and by hosting campus visits or offering informational packages to 30 plus institutions from across Canada and the U.S.
  •  Has been a positive connecting oasis in the midst of the challenges of grad school since 2002 (the current location in the Fosmark building was constructed in 2005)
