Students Participate Selflessly in Fall Work Day
The purpose of the Fall Work Day is to serve the local community, so students volunteer their time. This year’s theme was “Renovation.” As God renovates the lives of students at TWU, he extends that renovation to the local community through practical service.
TWU’s Outreach Coordinator, Chett Fitchett, organized the Work Day. In many cases he worked with local churches to arrange work projects for the students. Some projects involved contributing in some way to benefit the ministry of a church. Other projects focused more on helping out an individual’s needs in Langley.
Many of the groups worked outdoors regardless of the rain. The students’ jobs ranged from house work, painting, cleaning, or business jobs to yard work, windows, or even construction..
