Vision

Looking over a vast wasteland of death and destruction, a man saw nothing but ashes and bones. But God saw an army. A man asked, “But Lord, how can bones be an army? How can ashes be life?” And the Lord answered, “Speak. Speak to the bones that they might be an army. Speak to the ashes that they might bring new life.” (Adapted from Ezekiel 37)

Prayer is powerful. Prayer is a weapon. Just as words have the power to raise an army, prayer has the power to bring death to life; they can be one in the same. But beyond words, what is prayer? Prayer is a form of worship. Each of us is created differently and each of us has a different calling, therefore prayer can take place in many forms.

The focus of the prayer team this year is HEALING and IDENTITY in Christ. To know God is to know oneself, and in this way all of campus is called to Know God and connect with him in the way he created us individually.

As people are learning more of God, and more of themselves, healing needs to take place. So our prayer is also for campus wide healing and Christ to then be glorified more and more.

Prayer is indeed a weapon, and it is our desire this year to know our maker, to know the maker of our weapons, and to use it powerfully and efficiently. And the sound of our weapons and raise an army out of bones.

Please join us in prayer this coming year.

Verses for this year:

“As for you, Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands the intent of all thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you.” ~I Chron. 28:9

“Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up.”  ~Hosea 6:1
