Summer Teams 2011

Every summer Trinity sends teams overseas to do 1-2 month long development/missions projects. Teams are partnered with local organizations and help to support them in their work. Sometimes teams bring unique experience/knowledge to meet unmet needs.
Why do a summer service project?
1. Gaining a Global Perspective
2. Education and Career Development
- Apply your education and gain valuable field experience in the global context. Your special knowledge and skills will also be a valuable contribution to the team.
- Many students have organized to even get school credit by doing a practicum during a summer service project. Organize this with your prof.
- Gain valuable experience which can be featured on your resume, giving you a competitive edge over others who just have the education aspect.
3. Spiritual Transformation
- You will face many new challenges and be forced to rely on God and trust in Him.
- Discover your gifts and see how God can use them, even though you feel inadequate.
- Enjoy being part of a team. There is so much joy and friendship that occurs; you will also learn a lot about yourself, and how to care for those you work with.
