Missions Week 2012 : January 23-27

 “Reaching the Unreached, Loving the Unloved”

 

The theme this year at Trinity Western University is: Walk in Truth, Lead with Courage. As followers of Christ we are all called to missions each day of our lives. To walk in truth this year we need to face the facts: the world population is quickly reaching 7 billion people and according to the website for Mission to Unreached Peoples (www.mup.org) there are still close to 2 billion people that are cut off from access to the Gospel. Because few mission workers and few mission dollars are headed to these people it is time for us to remain focused on the fact that the Great Commission calls us to all nations:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” Matt 28:19-20.

With that in mind, the 2012 Missions Week Team is focusing on “Reaching the Unreached and Loving the Unloved."

As we remain focused on the future of Global Missions and mobilization for the Kingdom of God, we hope you will join us in reaching out to the unreached around the world and loving those who are unloved right here at home.

Missions Fest Vancouver January 27-29, 2012:Highlights global mission opportunities, showcases over 260 international mission organizations, features world class speakers within the context of 130 seminars, plenary sessions, youth rallies, and children's workshops. This all happens at Vancouver’s Convention & Exhibition Centre.
