We are very excited to welcome you to Trinity Western University's Missions Week 2012.
Participating Organizations are asked to be available to the student body on Wednesday, January 25th and Thursday, January 26th between the hours of 11:40 am to 5:00 pm.
Please Arrive: 10:00 am Wednesday, January 25th so that the Missions Week Team can meet you, give you some logistical information, pray for you and guide you to your booths so that we can all go to chapel at 11:00am.
Please Return: 10:00 am Thursday, January 26th so we can all give and receive feedback, prayer and encouragement before we head to chapel at 11:00am.
We provide free parking for you. Please park temporarily to bring your things into the main entrance to the Reimer Student Center (the cafeteria building) and we will give you a free pass to put on your dashboard. We will also provide a free internet code for you to use your wireless devices if necessary.
Each missions organization will receive their own 8 foot table. We do not guarantee electric outlets right beside each table. If you need electricity it is a good idea to bring your own extension cord and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
We are providing lunch for you on both days, as well as drinks and snacks throughout the day. You will go to lunch in one of two shifts either at 12:00pm or 1:00pm. This is included in your registration fees.
Students volunteer to spend an hour of their time with you at your booth helping you to interact with other students. We are facilitating this process again as it was a huge success in the past. The AAM hours this year are at 2:30-3:30pm & 4:00-5:00pm to account for class schedules and high traffic times. We will inform you on Wednesday how many students are signed up to visit with you.
Dorm Meetings are a time of fun and fellowship for first and second year TWU students. You have the unique opportunity to sign up to lead a dorm meeting and tell the students your story.
Dorm Meetings are gatherings of about 10 - 20 students which take place on Wednesday evenings, from about 9 - 10 pm. Resident Assistants use this time to give the students in their hall a break from academics.
If you sign up to lead a Dorm Meeting you will meet your Resident Assistant (RA) in the Atrium (Where your booth will be set up) at 8:50pm and they will lead you to their lounge area. This will be confirmed with you when you arrive for registration.
We recommend sharing your personal story, how you chose the organization you are currently with, and encouraging the students in their educational calling. Bringing snacks to share is always welcomed as free food captivates the hearts of college students!
