Rahab Ministry

Rahab Ministry partners with the Linwood House Ministries to reach out to the sexually exploited women of Vancouver ’s Downtown Easts ide. Many of these women have suffered and been wounded deeply throughout their lives by abuse and poverty. This ministry involves a team of female students hanging out in the Great Room in downtown Vancouver to spend time connecting with women through a cup of coffee, making food together, games nights, and other activities.

The purpose is to develop relationships with women who would not be likely to walk into the church, and hear about Jesus, on their own. We offer them hope, and encouragement through our presence, our smiles, our tears, and our prayers.

In addition to providing them with hope and love we provide them with a voice in our own circles of influence. We actively share in our churches, in our classes and with our friends on our campus, bringing both the reality of who these girls are and a dignity to this class of women who are commonly despised. We also join annually with other clubs and ministries at TWU to support organizations worldwide who are working toward the same goals of setting these captives free.
