Touch of Home
Touch of Home is another unique aspect of the program, where parents can be assured that their student receives some tender, loving care on special occasions, or just because mom and dad care. Call 1.888.817.3759 or 1.604.513.2121 ext.3371, e-mail parents@twu.ca, or visit the Touch of Home website and place your order online. Please allow 2-3 business days for delivery of your student's gift. All gifts are processed and delivered through Parent Relations in the Student Life office at TWU.
TWU Parent Prayer Partners.
This ministry began a number of years ago with a few people gathering together in their home to pray for their sons and daughters. The next year, Denise & Bruce Gordon challenged parents at our Parent Weekend to get involved, with 35 people responding. The following year we had 125 families praying across Canada, the US and internationally. This past year we had almost 600 families regularly praying on our behalf and as special needs arise.
Parent Prayer Partners provides an opportunity for parents to pray more specifically for the needs of the University, as well as to uphold students, faculty, administrators and staff in regular prayer. By joining our Parent Prayer Partners, you commit to praying regularly, if not daily, for the University community.
In past years we emailed prayer requests to Parent Prayer Partners. This year we are moving to a new format, with a prayer request webpage which can be updated as needs arise. Please forward any prayer requests you might have for your student, the TWU community, or other related causes, persons, or ministries to parents@twu.ca. We will endeavor to keep the webpage updated on at least a weekly basis.
