Parent Prayer Partners

Welcome to our 2012 Spring semester. In an ongoing effort to provide effective communication to the parents of current, prospective, and former students, the Parent Relations Office continues to be passionate about joining with the faithful army of Parent Prayer Partners who hold the needs and prayer requests of the Trinity Western University family up to our heavenly Father.

Requests are submitted through parents@twu.ca and then posted on the parent website anonymously, unless you otherwise indicate. AS IMPORTANT, we look forward to follow up emails from you to post answers to prayer. Knowing that God hears and answers us initiates encouragement in our faith and brings hope to us along the way. We value and appreciate your involvement by submitting your requests and praying for the needs posted.

May 18th: PRAISE REPORT: One student from BC who was on our prayer list earlier this past year was struggling badly socially and academically during his first half of the school year. He has since finished off his Spring Semester well and has enjoyed his courses. His parents see this as a miracle on all fronts regarding his recovering from 12 months ago. He also continues to strive and thrive through his Summer Course in China. Please pray that as he returns in the Fall he will have new goals and desires to serve the Lord with all he has to offer.

May 18th: Pray for a student who has done all required registration for the Fall at Trinity and is also enrolled for a 6 wk. summer class but is considering changing to another College. She has spoken with an Academic Adviser at TWU about the ins and outs of this but is also considering not taking her summer class. Please pray that she chooses to take her summer class.

May 17th: Praise God for Jessica in her progress since suffering critically with a virus that attacked her lungs. Please continue to pray for her as she has been working hard to get well, but has no concept of all she has overcome in the last 5 weeks. She is spending more time off the ventilator and doing physio at the same time, and feels quite overwhelmed. Pray that each day as her parents recite and encourage her with different portions of God’s word and promises that she will be restored day by day to full health.

May 17th: please pray for all the summer sessions that currently in process. Pray for students who are making up extra credits that they do well and still find time to find rest after the the regular school year.

May 17th Please pray for a young man who has worked hard to maintain his GPA but is not sure if it will be high enough. Pray for favor over him, that he will get another opportunity to increase his grades through on line courses. Being at Trinity is the first time in his life where he truly felt accepted and loved by his peers and could grow into the man God intended him to be. Please pray that he will be able to sort out doing courses on line and do well.

May 17th; Pray for a student who becomes quite anxious with exams and she is facing a very difficult exam on Thursday and Friday this week. Pray for energy to be restored in the mental fatigue of the intensity of a 3 week course.

Spartan Athletics Requests - The girls soccer team is back from Africa and I will be adding an update next week on the results of their trip.

Please pray for a growing spiritual awakening within the student athletes over the summer, pray for the students that are spiritual leaders and desiring to see the Lord honored and His Kingdom advanced through the platform of Spartan Athletics. Pray for a growing momentum of athletes to grow in their spiritual journeys

Pray particularly for spiritual protection on two woman athletes, Jessica and Melissa, and others that had some great spiritual breakthroughs. Jessica committed her life to Christ, which we are thanking the Lord for.

May 17th: Pray in particular this week for Trinity Staff to have wisdom and discernment in matching both new students and return students as dorm mates. Please pray for  students in general who are looking for roommates and places to live next year on and off campus. Pray that God would arrange for them the right person/place in compatibility and affordability.

May 17th: Pray for students in general who are going through a faith crisis of self-discovery and owning their own faith.
