insurance for personal items (check with insurance co)

street signs, advertisements, or any other stolen public property

waterproof footwear (it's been known to rain here!)
waterproof hooded jacket (Goretex or equivalent works well)

lots of hangers
twice as many socks and underwear as you think you'll need
iron (ironing boards provided)
land line telephone (local phone service included in room fees, long distance plans extra)
staples or small pins for hanging pictures & posters
athletic equipment (bikes, roller blades, tennis rackets, etc)
musical instruments
small sewing or mending kit
small first aid kit
1-2 extension cords
surge protector power bar for computer
3-to-2 prong outlet adaptors
flashlight and batteries
camera
extra set of sheets and pillowcases
