TWU appoints two new Deans

Trinity Western University is pleased to announce the appointment of two new deans.

Stepping into the role of Dean of the School of Education is Allyson Jule, Ph.D. A faculty member in the Department of English from 1993-2002, Jule returned to TWU to teach in the School of Education in 2008 after a time in Wales. The recipient of the prestigious 3M Teaching Fellowship and Co-Director of TWU’s Gender Studies Institute—which which has won national recognition—Jule is also the current President of the Women’s and Gender Studies et Rescherches Féministes. She will serve as dean for a five-year term, effective August 1, 2017, when current dean Kimberley Franklin, Ed.D., will step down.


Todd Martin, Ph.D., will serve as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for a five-year term, effective May 1, 2017. A faculty member since 2008, Martin brings a wealth of experience—including roles as pastor and financial advisor—to the position. Martin, who most recently served as assistant dean alongside Myron A. Penner, Ph.D., earned his doctorate of Philosophy in Sociology of Family from the University of British Columbia.
