Lana Higginbotham

Director of Operations

Lana joined the School of Human Kinetics in 2005. As Project & Office Manger her responsibilities encompass many tasks. She has led seven travel study trips abroad, including four to Australia and three Summer Olympic Games (Beijing, London, and Rio). Her experience in event planning has contributed to the Spartan Athletic Golf Tournament’s success (extensive staging for silent auction fundraising events).  Decorating and staging for the Spartan Athletic Banquets and Spartan Foundation fundraising events. 

Lana oversees the following for HKIN; finances, social media, alumni relations, office administration and community events. She also handles internal and external projects relating to the Langley Events Centre, renovation projects, upcoming academic streams and community connection projects.

A few of the on-campus events she leads are the HKIN 195 Retreat, HKIN Student BBQ, TWU Student Christmas Party, Student & Faculty Dodgeball Tournament, Annual HKIN Dean’s Brunch and the HKIN & Athletics Christmas Party.  

Lana has a passion for keeping a strong and healthy community work culture. She loves interacting with students and striving to create a memorable university experience for them.

Outside of Trinity her interests are hospice volunteer work, event planning, cooking and travel. Other volunteer experiences are with helping organize and promote the Fort Langley Half-Marathon, hospital visitation, strata council, team manager for her daughter’s soccer teams and guest speaker at women’s conferences.
