The Dean of Research is responsible to the Provost for Trinity Western University’s academic program development processes. The Office of Research, Program and Faculty Development administers development and external relations processes, including the preparation of proposals for new academic programs, partnerships, institutes, and chairs. The Office also manages program reviews, program consent applications and renewals, compliances for consented programs, and reporting requirements.

At Trinity Western University, program development normally begins with faculty champions – faculty members with a vision for extending or updating TWU’s academic capacity. Recent new programs championed by faculty members include the BA in Corporate Communications (School of Business and School of Arts, Media and Culture) and the BFA in Acting (School of Arts, Media, and Culture).
