Canadian Pentecostal Research Network

A resource for the study of pentecostalism

The Canadian Pentecostal Research Network (CPRN) is a resource for the study of pentecostalism in Canada and throughout the world. Pentecostalism refers to a renewal movement within Christianity which emphasizes such things as experiential spirituality, spiritual gifts, healing, dreams and visions, prophecy, and spirit baptism. Pentecostalism is also a global movement. Globalization draws our attention to understand the ways in which pentecostalism is rooted in Canada and its relationship to the broader movement.

CPRN is a loosely connected network of scholars who study pentecostalism from a variety of disciplines including sociology, theology, religious studies, cultural studies, anthropology, and history. This website contains a variety of resources for students and researchers who want to study the movement in its many forms.
