The following are a few of the attractions Ottawa has to offer; many are in walking distance of the LLC.

• Parliament Hill
  The Parliament buildings and grounds are a must-see for every LLC student. You may even intern in East block, Centre block, or West block. The view from the Peace Tower and the library is incredible.
• Rideau Hall
  Visit the historic residence and office of Canadas Governor Generalthe place where monarchs and dignitaries are officially welcomed, and Canadians are honored.

• Canadian Museum of Civilization
  Explore 1000 years of Canadian history. See the largest indoor collection of totem poles, take in an IMAX film, and visit the temporary exhibition.

• Canadian War Museum
  Dedicated to the education, preservation and remembrance of Canadas military history, the Canadian War Museum illustrates how military events have played in our history from the earliest days of New France to the current day.

  Canadas foremost natural history and natural sciences museum.

• Royal Canadian Mint

• Canada Aviation Museum

• The Supreme Court of Canada
  The General Court of Appeal created in 1875 has a national jurisdiction and hears approximately 100 appeals a year. The building which now has historical designation is located west of the Parliament buildings.

• Byward Market
  The Byward Market is located in what is known as Ottawas Lower Town and is a focal point for the entire city. It is a feast for the senses with shops, fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, restaurants, and entertainment.
• Cathedral Basilica of Notre-Dame
  This is Ottawas oldest church with an ornate interior.
