What to do in Ottawa
As Canada's capital city, there is no end of things to see and places to go in Ottawa. As a student, there are a plethora of opportunities that await you. Get $10 opera tickets through the National Arts Centre's Live Rush program. In the winter semester, skate on the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO heritage site. See 24 Sussex, the Prime Minister's House and Rideau Hall, the residence of the Governor General. Experience Winterlude and other Ottawa festivals. Visit Ottawa's museums and national historical sites. Take advantage of lectures at the University of Ottawa, St. Paul's University and other locations. Stay abreast of current happenings by taking in a committee hearing or sitting in on Question Period.
