Jamaican alum Che Cowan returns for MA
in Leadership studies
Jamaican Che Cowan, TWU communications grad and Citizenship Award winner of 1995, noticed some big changes at TWU when he returned to pursue a Master of Arts in Leadership last year. Says Che, “A lot has changed since ’95 — cafeteria, computers, and collegiums. Some things have not — geese. Trinity Western has matured without losing the values that make it one of the best universities in Canada. It’s great to be back.”
Che’s church in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, has grown to over 200 since he planted it in 2002 with wife Samantha and children, Amanda and Joshua. “The ma in Leadership has helped me to grow in my capacity to lead a vibrant, growing church and has unearthed leadership potential I never knew I had. I have learned to empower more people than I thought possible and now lead a group of people who take personal responsibility for carrying out the vision of our church.”
The MA in Leadership degree combines online learning with short, on-campus residencies, ideal for those living outside the Langley area who want to advance their careers and abilities to lead with skill and integrity.
