Family Traditions

One could say that TWU is in Alixandra Funk’s DNA. The 23-year-old lived in MacMillan Hall married housing for the first four months of her life, during her father’s final semester. Now a spring 2008 graduate, Alixandra finished her Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages with a gpa of 4.23, earning her the Governor General’s Silver Medal Award. Passionate about foreign culture and language, she studied French, Spanish, and German, intending to use these languages in her future career. With her grandfather as a former member of the Board of Governors and her father as a current member, she always knew she wanted to attend TWU. “I feel deeply connected to TWU. It’s in my blood!”
