Room to Learn
Students at Canada’s only Christian-based MBA program now have an executive classroom in which to study and network, thanks to the gift of a generous local businessperson.
The MBA executive classroom opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony last October and features several movable boardroom tables for flexible seating arrangements, soundproofing, glass doors opening onto a patio, and leather executive chairs.
“Our MBA program is filled with executives who are used to professional quality meeting spaces,” explains Andrea Soberg, MIR, CHRP, dean of the School of Business. Soberg adds that, in addition to its highly flexible combination of on-campus instruction with online courses, one of the major strengths of the MBA program is its focus on real world situations through case studies, simulations, and assignments that are customized to students’ work situations.
Says Soberg, “This generous donation has allowed the quality of our learning space to catch up with the quality of our instruction and the professional expectations of our students.”
