ENGLISH 391 Children’s Literature
What’s the connection between the books you read as a kid and the stories children read today? This course explores the trends and themes in children’s literature from the 16th century to the present. Bonus: you get to study Harry Potter.

Existentialism lets students grapple with questions central to human experience like the meaning of life, the problem of truth and values, authenticity, and God.

HKIN 124 Downhill Skiing
Whether you are seasoned pro or a newbie on skis, this course includes professional instruction, plus a three-day trip to the slopes.

MUSIC 340 Introduction to Digital Recording
In a digital age, music is often as much about technology as it is about chords and counter melodies. Students learn various recording techniques, how to use digital recording software and equipment such as microphones and mixers.

GEOGRAPHY 131 Global Environmental Issues
Seeing is believing. This course incorporates a variety of field trips to spots as varied as churches and wastewater treatment plants to discuss the Christian worldview of environmentalism and to discover where water from our taps goes.
