"Even though I have a physical weakness that limits me from climbing up the high wall, there's always something I can help with in the group, like being a spotter. The high course really helped me to take others' encouragement and overcome my fears."

Low Ropes Courses

The low ropes or challenge course is designed to bring your entire student team together in a series of game-like tasks that exercise the mind and body.  Light warm up activities encourage participants to have fun, learn, and take care of each other. Through learning to depend on each other and communicate with each other, your group of students will learn how to value each individual's unique input to the group while creating an integrative whole. By cooperating as one unit and taking care of each individual, the Low Course will reinforce levels of trust and respect, and increase the problem solving skills of the group.

High Ropes Courses

The high ropes or challenge course elements involve two to three people working together at a time to overcome a problem 30 to 75 feet high, while the rest of the group is responsible for their safety using a rope and harness system. Learn hands-on about group and 1-to-1 communication, leadership, teamwork, trust, planning, risk taking, group and individualgoal setting, and adapting to change.

After completing each activity on the high ropes course, you and your students will analyze your roles and the reasons why certain strategies did or did not work. Your students will see how each individual deals with stressful situations and utilizesinnovative and new solutions. Throughout the day, metaphors and analogies are drawn from the activities and your students will discuss how they can apply the principles you've learned to their everyday life and learning situations.

Student Leadership Programs

Leadership is easy to talk about, and really hard to do. We all want to be leaders, but how do we learn and practice leadership skills? This program will help your students explore leadership styles and principles and how to use them in everyday situations by getting a chance to practice and see the principles in action.

Your students will:

  • Develop an understanding of several leadership styles
  • Be challenged to put the theory into action through challenging activities and group feedback.
  • Learn to work with other leaders rather than against them.

Student Government

Student governments are an excellent learning environment for students to learn how to utilize and implement their leadership skills and abilities to support the student body as they create change in their schools. More than memorizing Robert's Rules, your student government can come onto our course and learn how to effectively work together for the benefit of their school.

Your students will:

  • Better understand how critical leadership roles impact their student government and therefore impact their effects on the rest of the student body
  • Be challenged to appropriately use consensus models and voting strategies
  • Learn to create and work with a shared student government vision

Alternative Programs

Alternative education programs and "at-risk youth" programs require creative and innovative ways to engage and teach critical skills to their students. At the Omada Education Programs we use the concepts of experiential education in order to teach these skills and concepts in a non-threatening and unconventional environment.

Your students will:

  •   Learn to create a positive group environment by utilizing the tools and methods discovered throughout the day
  • Develop new ways to understand how their personal skills, choices, behaviors, and abilities can impact their peers.
  • Find new ways to learn and understand Educational concepts.
  • Learn different ways to handle communication, conflict and peer influences.

Physical Education Programs

Traditional PE programs have many restrictions in today's education system. Students are also being exposed to a variety of creative and higher energy types of physical activity. At Omada Student Programs we offer your class or student group an opportunity to gain PE credits based on fun and energizing activities that will also challenge and support their group learning.

Your students will:

  • Learn to set and meet individual and group physical goals.
  • Develop new understanding of their physical selves and how activity affects them
  • Get creative in their search for improved physical activity outside the school gymnasium
  • Have fun and learn lots!

Teacher Pro-D Day Programs

Instead of a typical educational workshop at your monthly Professional Development Day, Omada Educational Teambuilding offers creative and energizing ways to learn more about educational perspectives, their own teacher needs and what your school team requires in order to function at its best.

You teacher group will:

  • Learn more about how each teacher functions in your school team in a creative and in-depth way in our non-threatening environment.
  • Have an energizing day filled with "teachable" moments
  • Learn new ways to communicate with each other
  • Discover new ways to cooperate and learn from each other
  • Have fun and learn lots!
