You're never too old to have fun. Omada Teambuilding has developed unique educational, student leadership, and physical education programs primarily for elementary and middle schools.

At the Great Escape you can enjoy:

The Great Escape Leadership Program

This program is designed for students to develop their own leadership skills. It gives the students the opportunity to experience leadership in a fun and safe environment. Trained staff will administer various challenges set up in The Great Escape facilities that will promote goal setting, working with a plan, teamwork and personal leadership style. They will be introduced to programs involving Laser Tag, Air Trek (ropes course), Rock Climbing Wall, Ballistics Zone, as well as other Great Escape activities.

Through Safety, Fair Play and Leadership, this program is created to fulfill requirements set forth through Provincial IRP. It will allow students to:

  • Demonstrate problem-solving strategies to accomplish challenges
  • Experience various roles of leaders within a team setting
  • Practice developing and administering a plan to complete a task
  • Explore keys to being a successful leader including but not limited to communication, goal setting, teamwork and problem-solving

Each student will be presented with a Leadership Log. Throughout their time with us, students will be asked to record their answers to a variety of questions related to leadership and the challenges that they have participated in.

A few sample programs from our Menu include:

The Great Escape Survival Scenario

Your group will be divided into smaller teams and will need to work to secure supplies from the jungle in order to help your team survive. Each item has a point value based on its usefulness as determined by a survival expert. The teams will be provided with a map of the playground and the list of supplies. Each team will be given an allotted amount of time to develop their plan, after that time is up, teams will be off to the races to secure the items before the other teams. Through active facilitation we will focus on what they've learned about teamwork and leadership.

Air Cannon Challenge

Your teams will be challenged to score the highest number of points by shooting balls into corresponding coloured baskets. You will need to assign tasks and roles to each member of the team such as gathering balls, shooting balls and perfecting players. Each time a player is hit they are out for an allotted amount of time. This is safer and more fun than dodgeball and teamwork principles are easily learned by the students as we review the lessons they have learned.

The Great Escape Physical Education Program

This program is designed to foster an atmosphere based around physical education requirements that support a physically active lifestyle. It gives the student the opportunity to look at physical activity in a ‘play' environment. Trained staff will administer various challenges set up in The Great Escape facilities that will promote teamwork, problem-solving and allow the students to develop knowledge concerning personal physical health. They will be introduced to programs involving Laser Tag, Air Trek (ropes course), Rock Climbing Wall, Ballistics Zone, as well as other Great Escape activities.

This program is created to fulfill requirements set forth through Provincial IRP. It will allow students to:

  • Experience fundamental movement skills through non-locomotor, locomotor and manipulative development
  • Explore skill-related components of fitness including agility, reaction time, co-ordination, speed and balance
  • Understand movement concepts such as spatial awareness, qualities of movement and relationships with others
  • Practice taking their own heart rate and learn about its importance in daily physical activity

Each student will be presented with a Health Log. Throughout their time at The Great Escape, students will be asked to record their heart rate as well as answer questions related to activity and participation levels during the challenge.
