The TWU biblical studies program offers expert faculty and is the largest program of its kind in Canada. The Dead Sea Scrolls Institute and the Septuagint Institute, located at the University, foster significant academic discussion. Classes offered include ancient languages such as Greek and Hebrew, in which students study the earliest biblical texts. Foundational courses include biblical interpretation and the Old and New Testaments. Students study the Pentateuch; Psalms and wisdom literature; the Gospels; and the epistles of Paul. Graduates of the biblical studies program are equipped to pursue graduate work, which can lead to careers in research, academia and theology.
