A TWU philosophy degree offers students the chance to explore timeless questions about goodness, truth, beauty and the existence of God, as well as contemporary quandaries of ethics, relativism, social justice and postmodernism. In their search for meaning, philosophers explore the foundation upon which belief and behaviour are built. Philosophy, which literally means “the love of wisdom,” investigates various views about the principles that underlie thought, conduct and the nature of reality. With a thorough immersion in critical thinking, the philosophy program prepares students for a broad range of possible careers including law school, theological training, business ethics, public relations and government.
