art (BA)
TWU’s art program explores the historical, societal and theoretical aspects of visual art. Students examine where art comes from and what it says about culture. An art degree unites the contextual and theoretical aspects of art with techniques and sensory skills that students will apply to their own creations. TWU’s four-year program builds students’ knowledge and expertise in stages. Students begin with foundational courses, moving into skills mastery and finally exhibiting their work in a group or solo show. TWU’s art professors are committed to developing students’ spiritual and creative vision. All art professors are also professional artists: talented painters, sculptors and designers, who contribute to the student’s development through their own experience in the professional art world.
