The Faculty of Professional Studies and Performing Arts also offers a minor (24 semester hours) in worship studies with streams in art, communications, drama and music.

In TWU’s music department, students can refine their abilities in either vocal or instrumental performance. The program also allows students to study music education, church music, music theory and music history. With an orchestra, concert band and several smaller instrumental ensembles, students have the option of playing a variety of musical styles. Emphasis is placed on sharpening technical skills, developing artistic excellence and learning to communicate musical expression with grace and creativity. TWU choirs perform regularly with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Music graduates can pursue a variety of careers, including music education, worship leadership, conducting, composing, performing, instrumental performance, music library positions and publishing.
