The room and board package offered by TWU includes the meal plan. If you wish to upgrade your meal plan, you can do so during registration. Keep in mind that the meal plan value cannot be refunded at the end of any academic semester. Further details and answers to frequently asked questions regarding the meal plan are available at www.twu.ca/housing. You can also inquire at the Housing Office when you arrive in the fall.
If you're bringing a car to campus, here's what you need to know to arrange parking:
Trinity Western University is pleased to provide phone service for all resident students. Each residence room is equipped with a phone line that is activated for local calling when you arrive. Your phone number and instructions for setting up your voicemail will be posted in your room when you move in. You will be able to make local calls and personalize your voicemail immediately. All that is required is that you provide your own telephone set. (We recommend regular corded phones to avoid interference with wireless networks in the building.) The cost for local phone service is included in your housing fees.
Long distance plans are reviewed and negotiated on you behalf regularly. Current options and instructions on signup and activation are available here.
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Telecom Services at telecom@twu.ca or call 604.513.2111.
To allow us the maximum amount of time to find compatible roommate matches, you'll find out who your roommate is when you arrive on campus.
Each campus dorm has a wired connection for your computer to access the Internet. These connections are provided at no extra cost and offer you access to e-mail web browsing, and various online student services we offer through the student portal at students.twu.ca. Your current TWU Pass can be used to access your e-mail, student registration, accounts, and logon to campus lab computers. Wireless access is complimentary to all resident students and is available in all buildings.
During registration, our volunteer student ministry, SHOUT, located in the Douglas Building, will help you configure your machine to connect to our TWU network. Bring along your computer, OS software and your 10/100 Ethernet card. While we hope to configure all machines, we set a 30 minute limit for this service. If we can’t service your machine in that time, you may also visit Global Learning Connections (GLC) in the Northwest building where staff members will help.
With newer computers which may come with an Ethernet card installed already, simply plug into your Ethernet port (RJ45 - 8 pin connector) in your dorm room and the computer should configure itself.
To access our campus network, the following is needed:

Plan to have your luggage or parcels arrive after you are already on campus. If your luggage or parcels arrive two or three days prior to September 1, they will either be placed in your room (for resident students) or the Mail Centre will hold them and send you a pick-up notice.
Canada Customs DOES NOT ALLOW you to pre-ship any personal goods into Canada. You MUST bring all personal goods with you and declare them when you enter Canada.
After arriving on campus, have items or care packages shipped to you using your country’s postal service (eg. United States Parcel Post). If the value of goods is $60 Cdn. or less, it is duty and GST free. This shipping option is slower but more reliable—UPS and FedEx are not recommended.
For more information, contact the Mail Centre at 604.513.2140 or mailcentre@twu.ca
