Initial acceptance to the Faculty of Human Kinetics follows regular University admission procedures.
General University Admission Requirements
Acceptance to the TWU Athletic Therapy stream and Mount Royal College program follows specific acceptance guidelines. Students may apply for the Mount Royal College program in their second year.
The following courses must be completed prior to applying for the Mount Royal College Athletic Therapy program:
HKIN 191 Intro to Fitness and Wellness
HKIN 195 Foundations of Human Kinetics
HKIN 198 Scientific Basis of Human Kinetics
BIOL 241 Human Anatomy and Physiology
BIOL 242 Human Anatomy and Physiology
HKIN 303 Advanced Strength Training
HKIN 372 Athletic Injuries
*Students must also be certified in Health Care Provider level CPR
*Practical experience is highly suggested
