Transfer Students

Many students transfer to Trinity Western after taking courses elsewhere. Transfer students must present the same application forms and high school transcripts as those applying for first-year standing. In addition, an official transcript from each post-secondary institution attended must be submitted. Applications should be submitted at least six weeks in advance of the semester applied for to facilitate transfer credit evaluation. Additional information such as course syllabi/outlines may be requested from the Admissions Office to assist in this evaluation.

Transfer students may be eligible for admission to the University upon completion of one semester of full-time studies (12 credits/hours or more) in a university transfer program. Admission will be based upon achievement in this post-secondary course work and previous college or high school work. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (C average) is required on all course work attempted. Students who have completed a minimum of 27 credits/hours of course work may be admitted solely on the basis of their performance in that course work. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (C average) is required on all course work attempted. A high school transcript is still required as part of the application.

To guarantee that you receive the credit you deserve for courses you've taken at other institutions, we evaluate each course on an individual basis. Students may be eligible for admission upon completion of one semester of full time studies (12 semester hours or more). If you have any questions, please contact your admissions counsellor.
