Theory linking the environment nursing metaparadigm with the real- world environment where nurses practice, students learn, and patients experience their health care is tenuous and dynamic.

The aim of this presentation is to take both an empirical and theoretical focus to inform our understanding environments of care. The overall intent of this interactive session is to gain insights about the significance of the dynamic of nursing practice in producing environments of care that foster student learning, promote a psychologically healthy workplace, and attain quality person-centered care.

Opportunity to share your expertise and experiences will be provided to explore questions such as: What key empirical knowledge guides your practice towards psychologically healthy workplaces? What theoretical understandings provide insight into creating empowering practice environments? What academic and practice collaborations could occur to work towards common goals to foster environments of care?
