About FAR CENTRE™ Program

Why TWU?

Obtaining a degree from Trinity Western University through our Facilitated Academic Resource (FAR) Centre program means you’ve participated in studies from Canada’s leading global Christian liberal arts university and one of the oldest universities in British Columbia. TWU is a full member of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC), is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and is the only private Canadian university to be invited into membership in the Royal Society of Canada. Trinity Western is a student-focused university, and all programs—whether in person or online—are designed for students to succeed and be equipped for their next steps in life.

Why a Canadian Degree?

A degree from TWU will be recognized all over the world as one from an accredited and high-quality academic institution. TWU graduates hold positions of leadership in Canada and around the world.

If you are considering completing your degree on location at TWU, or if you hope to work and live in Canada, a TWU degree will get you one step closer to your dream. International students with TWU degrees are eligible for Post-Graduation Work Permits (PGWP), allowing students to graduate and then find employment in Canada within their field. Canada is known as one of the most welcoming countries for international students. With its diversity of cultures and languages, and being on the warmest side of the country, many international students choose to study, work, and live in the beautiful Vancouver area.

Where is TWU?

Located in Langley in the beautiful Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada, TWU’s main campus sits in a peaceful natural setting. The campus itself has hiking trails, protected woodland, and a small river, and it is only a five-minute drive from the lovely historic town of Fort Langley—full of restaurants and boutique shops. Surrounded by mountains and the mighty Fraser River, TWU has the unique privilege of being situated in nature yet within an hour’s drive of the stunning city of Vancouver, its surrounding cities, beaches, and several famous ski mountains.

TWU Richmond is our campus with a city feel. Located in the culturally diverse city of Richmond, B.C., and even closer to the hub of Vancouver, TWU Richmond is especially loved by students who thrive on the energy of city living. With shopping, restaurants, local and international events so close by, many students find this modern urban location invigorating.

The TWU Difference

TWU’s vision is that “Every graduate is equipped to think truthfully, act justly, and live faithfully for the good of the world and the glory of God.” This vision is lived out within our programs and through our professors, our staff, and our students. TWU’s FAR CENTRE™  Program means that this vision is extended to you. Through support from our FAR Centre facilitators, we ensure you are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and network to take your TWU degree into your chosen field of work with confidence.

Studying in person at TWU means you’ll experience one of the University’s secrets to student success—small class sizes. With an average class size of 20, TWU students benefit from individual mentorship from professors, a cohort-feel to almost every course, and an instant network they can draw from during their studies and in their future careers.

Trinity Western, as a global Christian liberal arts university, looks forward to welcoming more students from around the world through the FAR Centre program. Choose TWU’s FAR CENTRE™  Program and discover how your TWU experience will equip you for a lifetime of success in your future career.
