TWU is committed to helping students are well cared for in order to get the most out of their time at university. This includes ensuring that students’ health care needs are provided for while they study. To do this, TWU requires all non-Canadian students who reside in B.C. during the academic year to enroll in the British Columbia Medical Services Plan (BCMSP). Out-of-province Canadian students must make appropriate arrangements with their provincial health care bodies. BCMSP provides all basic health care needs and helps avoid surprise medical bills.
When you arrive on campus for orientation, Trinity Western staff will provide information about BCMSP, sign you up for both interim health care coverage and BCMSP.
The annual cost of insurance is approximately $900 (Cdn). This cost covers interim health care coverage for three months and BCMSP coverage for nine months.
For more coverage details please see the BCMSP Website.
