VENTURE OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM AND INTO A WORLD WAITING TO BE EXPLORED!

Biology offers two travel study opportunities which are offered in alternating years. The Salt Spring Island program takes advantage of the University’s property, Crow’s Nest Ecological Research Area, located in the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia. The property harbours several endangered Garry Oak meadows providing unique opportunities for ecological research. Students who travel to Salt Spring Island take courses in Marine Biology and Plant Ecology.

In the Hawaii program, students study courses in Coral Reef Ecology and Tropical Botany on one of the islands of Hawaii.
